Favorite Quote:
Don't Worry About Tommorow, For Tommorow will bring its own worries.

Soaring,
Seeking,
Flying through the wind.
Creative,
Open
Minded,
Determined, to fit in.
Wings flapping,
Breath shorting,
Chest tightening,
To keep, a steady balance.
If I fall,
My life,
Would be a sitcom.
Reaching,
Longing,
Just for a friendly hand.
Dreaming,
Thinking, of the best friend.
Cold,
Numb,
Tired of impressing,
Tired of the fake me,
The real Me is hatching.

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece because it seems as if so many teen girls feel as if they are in this position in life. They want to impress as many people as they can, wonders too much as to what others think of them, etc. Soon they get tired of doing that, and sometimes give up. They then want to be themselves, and that's what really matters.
I don't exactly know why I compared this situation to a bird, but I guess, that's what makes it unique.
From reading this poem, I hope teen girls will just act themselves and not go through any mess, just to get a friend.
