Heart pounding out of my chest.
Feeling every blood cell run through my veins.
Eardrums throbbing to the beat of the drum. My drum.
Whole body on fire, like I burst into flames.
Muscles aching but I just cant stop.
Cant come down from this permanent high.
Face becoming numb. Snowflakes fall angrily on my cheeks.
Eyes dart rapidly. Trying to find something I know.
Suddenly swallowed in snow. Tangled in myself.
Lungs only filling with sharp ice as I gasp for something warm.
This is not my dream.
Body and mind telling me “no”.
Heart and soul telling me “go”.
