Sorrowed minds, they stirred
They longed for a time
That had not occurred

The sun had a promise to keep
To free troubled minds;
To ease their sleep

The sunset promised to end their sorrow;
Better days began tomorrow.

A significant loss inspired me to write this poem. To those "sorrowed minds" who have experienced tragedy: despite how vulnerable you may feel in the moment, things will improve with time. "Better days" draw nearer with the passing of each sunset.
