A Gentlemen's Game

I pull the driver out
And put the tee in the ground.
Ball on the tee.
I line up my shot,
practice swing.
On top of the ball.
Swing.
The driver greets the ball.
“Bam”.
Ball in air.
“Go farther, go farther”
The ball is flying,
going on what seems forever.
It starts to descend.
Farther.
Spinning onward.
Onto the green.
Pin high,
Easy shot.
Now putt.
Walk to the ball, get my .
Putter.
Calm down.
I have a birdie.
Line up, get it right.
Practice putt.
On the ball!
Breath.
Calm.
Putt.
IN THE HOLE!!
