Everything happens for a reason

My love has gone away
And I'm fighting everyday
To live once more

I've tried to continue
My life
But it's been hard to breathe
I've died the thousand
Times I've tried to be

Away from here
Long ago
I lived a life
That you'd dream of

Tossed away
My heart and soul
Here to wait
To die once more

Black Rose
Dead as can be
Tortured Soul
Thriving to breathe
Stitched up heart
Forced to bleed
Tear shut eyes
Trying to see

I hold my arms wide
To feel the air
It breaths around me
Willing to share

Sparkled darkness
Shining so bright
Feel you closing
Up tonight
Cold within me
Is all I feel
Wondering how
Am I to heal

Black Rose
Dead as can be
Tortured soul
Thriving to breath
Stitched up heart
Forced to bleed
Tear shut eyes
Trying to see

I fight my way
Through black and cold
Fearing the dark
Will keep its hold

I learn to cope
With ongoing rage
Without you to hold
I'm stuck in a cage

The sun is gone
Only clouds in the sky
The moon is full
Almost every night

Black Rose
Dead as can be
Tortured soul
Thriving to breath
Stitched up heart
Forced to bleed
Tear shut eyes
Trying to see

The author's comments:
This poem was inspired by someone I loved and I learned a lot from them. It also helped me able to express myself in my darkest time. I'm a stronger person since then :)
