The One I Knew, The One That Left.
I stand before you,
looking into the eyes I once knew.
Those eyes, the eyes I loved with all my being.
Those eyes that would save me from my darkest hours.
Those eyes that would tell me they loved me.
But these eyes, they played me like a violin.
These eyes took everything I once knew, and through it all away.
These eyes painted my skies gray.
These eyes that once showed me a mistaken love.
I stand before you,
looking into the eyes I once knew.
