I watch as he takes my heart.
He takes it away and places it next to his.
What's different this time?
I didn't flinch when he reached for it.
I didn't turn away when he told me he would take care of it.
I just stood there.
Smile on my face, a pink in my cheeks, happy.
I let him take it.
He still has it.
It's in one piece and it beats wildly just at the thought of him.
The difference?
Friendship.
Time.
Construction.
Commonalities.
Secrets.
The difference is...

This is a great poem, I love how the words of it seem to flow. It has a great meaning to it. Telling a story in a short amount of time.
