I just wanted to die
I would walk through town
My head raised high
But beneath my crown
I just wanted to die
They would stare at me
With nothing to say
I said “Good Morning”
And just walked away
They admired me dearly
And the things I could buy
But they said not a word
I just wanted to die
Back at my home
I sat by myself
Just me and the fire
My body with held
I grabbed a revolver
Lined it up with my eye
Place my finger on the trigger
I just wanted to die
I was like a pope
With no love and no wife
My money could not buy
The rest of my life
