and the smell of the salty sea air
I am from days spent outside
playing basketball with family
I am from Crystal Parkway
and its beautiful flowers
I am from “you’ll thank me when you’re older”
I am from the sweet smell of spaghetti
cooking in the kitchen
From the safety of my bed
and constant shouts of
“boys, slow down!”
I am from the days of
Legos and Lincoln Logs
This is who I am
