Pride
Pride is loud, Pride is quiet.
Pride is the sense of accomplishment,
When you can spend your nights silently sleeping,
Because you’re satisfied with life,
Rather than tossing in the sheets,
Restlessly.
Pride is the sense of accomplishment,
When you feel superior over others,
Who used to be your equals.
The sense that you are supernatural,
In a world of mortals.
Pride builds up the power in people,
Yet it breaks down the walls of society,
Destroying a sense of unity that was once there.
