The truth when I lied
And said this was the last time
I’d say goodbye
I didn’t remember to remind you
To not listen to another
“I love you”
I see you now
With me again
Wanting to be
My more-than-friend
Well I didn’t know
Why you changed your mind

Tear your heart in two
All over again
So why don’t the tears come
Why I tried so hard
To make you cry
Your pain to me

I guess for now
And this is true
