a bird like me

a bird so pretty
but can't fly
its wings are broken
its heart is crushed
its hope is gone
just like me
we want to fly
so far away
away from this
away from you
you broke this
fragile
heart of mine
its been broken
to many times
before
the hope here is
gone
we just want out
its like we're caged
unable to escape
release me from this
cage
and let me go
released just like
a bird
we fly away to
somewhere
somewhere better
