Dissolved

Hallways growing thicker
Wrapping around my
Small body
Keeping breath in
Escaping the heat of the waves
I’m left in the wake of
Shoves and hugs

On the outskirts of town
Sleeping on a little patch of grass
The only one left
Covered in a sunny blanket
Attempt to brighten my mood

Happy alone
Lonely alone
A limbo in between
Wanting you here
Wishing you gone
Nodding off at every other word
You speak

I listen
With a quarter of my brain
Dissolved
