Beauty
All eyes on me when I walk in
I wonder if they even notice me.
All eyes on me when I walk in.
but, I’m
invisible.?
Am I the only one that knows?
They must know.
Amongst the pitter patter of the rain,
The truth of my secrets lies within.
Trapped behind these four walls,
purging from my insides,
I hear the shouts of
“Don’t listen to her, nobody
will ever listen to whatever she says”
Am I the only one that knows?
That I now stand alone.
I stand alone because of them.
Them.
The way they …
Taunted me.
Tormented me.
Shouted slanders in my name.
“You’re hideous!
You are a coward!
You will never amount to anything!”
Am I the only one that knows?
That I refuse to listen to them.
My ears will never be pierced
with their shrilly voices.
Nor will I stand to ever let them
bring me down.
Am I the only one that knows?
That in reality…
They are all ventriloquist dolls,
Being controlled in my realm.
Mirror, Mirror on the wall
Who’s the fairest of them all?
It smiles back at me, and shows a
pure reflection of my soul,
I see…
My walk my talk the way I dress
It's not my fault so please don't trip
“I decided I was beautiful.”
