It's a brand new year,
Stand up and cheer,
Move over 2010,
It's time for more writing by pen,
Or however else you write,
Make your writing just right,
Get out your writing utensil,
Get our your paper and sit on a window sill,
Bring characters to life,
Ring in the new year with stories about strife,
Caring,
Wearing,
Hearing,
Tearing,
Or cats,
mats,
dogs,
logs,
Whatever comes to mind,
Don't listen to haters with an axe to grind,
just write,
write,
and write some more,
showing what's at your heart's core.
