Chess

The pawn arrived at dawn,
With his sword drawn,
Lies tied to his heart,
Died with nothing to part,

The knight wrecking havoc,
A true epoch of his time,
Covered in grime,
Falls onetime,

The bishop preaching amen,
Corrupting the hearts of men,
Twisting his kin, with a grin
This is a sin

The rook so arrogant,
Being very patient,
For the dead,
Is its bread?

The queen beautiful in her gown,
Looks over her town,
Keeping out of the way,
As if everything was okay,

The king in his throne,
Is never alone,
Adding timber to the fire,
Making men admire

Those who conspire,
Will surly control the empire,
No one will stay long,
Until they belong
