The night kills the sun
Its once golden light turns blood red
Washing over the earth
As the sun lies dying
Spilling out its final rays
Before it sinks below the horizon
The memory of its murder taints the sky
Till night spreads its heavy cloak out wide
Enveloping the sky
Swallowing the earth
But the story is not over
For in the morning the sun shall rise again
Returning to free us from our dark prison
