The pain subsides,
The pain comes back,
A pain in my mind,
That won’t go away.
A headache,
From writing,
A headache,
From thinking.
A pain I want
To go away,
A pain I hate
Won’t go away.
I close my eyes,
So I can rest,
My hurting eyes,
My hurting head.
I drink some water,
Hoping it’ll go away,
But even my hopes
Won’t make it stop.
The pain in my head,
Just make it stop,
Even if it’s just
For a little while.
