The Sound of Freedom

The sound of gun shots ring in the air,
Rifles boast smoke but no worse for the wear,
You didn't feel the terror becasue you were not there:
To sweat the sweet melody of freedom.

The best of all dreams truly in sight,
Even in the hazy early dawn light,
You didn't see the beauty or witness the the might:
To shout the sweet melody of freedom.

Red white and blue flaps in the breeze,
Heroic soldiers cough and weeze,
For you to have a new day to seize:
To live the sweet melody of freedom.

People are giving up their lives,
Their houses and freinds; their kids and their wives,
Feel the trickle of crimsom by gun wounds or knives:
To give the sweet melody of freedom.

Work for the determined and bread for all,
Our principles and values will never fall,
American people forever stand tall:
To sing the sweet melody of freedom.
