Take a look at me,
And tell me what you see.
Do you see that forced smile,
The one that hides many secrets?
Do you see my broken heart,
Holding my shame and hurt?
Do you see my damaged skin,
For it holds scars from pain?
Or,
Do you see a true smile,
One that has shown many times?
Do you see a heart,
one pain-free and full?
Do you see my perfect skin,
Showing no sign of trouble?
Please,
Take a look at me,
And tell me what you see.
