The Boy He Used To Be
The little boy he used to be,
Is now the man everyone sees.
He was captain of the football team.
And is the greatest wrestler I’ve ever seen.
He’s tall and strong.
Smart as can be.
But not the little boy he used to be.
This is my brother,
Too amazing for me.
Always cracking jokes,
That aren’t that funny.
Singing to music on car rides to work.
Dropping me off every Sunday for church.
He gets on my nerves,
But anyone can see,
I love him to death.
But he’s not the little boy he used to be.
