"Even if the morrow is barren of promises, nothing shall forestall my return."

I cry as I run from from mind
Tired of caring
And being alone all the time
Tired of reaching out
Falling for people who won't catch me.
I look back
As life runs right past me
As a crescendo of issues follow me
Murmur in B minor melodically behind me
Wipe the fog from the window
People say I have no life
And I just say "oh"
I have no cushion
So where do I aim when I fall accidentally
Or is jumping off a cliff something to deal with mentally?

The author's comments:
In relation to the end, I am not suicidal. So don't worry. I like to write in alter egos. I call this "my last poem" (all lower case) because it is the end of my alter ego's control of my writing. (Figuratively)

Beautifully written. Keep it up!
