I'll Be Fine

don't slice me up into little bits
with your serrated words
I have an endless roll of tape
made from days with no sad memories
and a needle and some thread
that I stole from your drawer
and I have some drippy glue
that I found when I was busy forgetting things on purpose
so don't bother with your knife
no matter how many pieces I end up in
I will stitch
and paste
and slap on a piece of tape
until I am whole
again
don't bother
I'll be fine
