The Two Sided Mirror

The Window, escaped into dreams,
Flooding memories, it seems,
The unseen rainbows and beams
Blend together here.
No one wonders why; the answers are in the skies you know,
And looking inside,
Reality falls away to truth, to glory, to dreams
A constant longing for nothing more, the colors blend together here.
But the window has been locked when we’re
Wide awake, the faulty muddled temptations reflected
On the lake.
No one wonders why, the answers are on Jeopardy you know,
And looking again,
Reality falls away to lies, to pain, to hopelessness
A constant longing to open the window
Only to break it.
The window escaped into dreams,
Flooding memories, it seems,
The vivid rainbows and beams
Blend together here.
In shades of black and white.
