Moonlight glistens on the water
Crashing tumultuous onto rough sands
Am I like the wave?
Destroyed only to rise again
Or am I like the beach
Slowly worn away by time
Pieces torn away and lost
Slowly disintegrating into nothing

I like your prose. Maybe the beach can be added to by the sands of time as well.
