My favorite flower
Grows in no garden
No need for water or sunlight
It does not sit on a window sill
In a perfectly molded pot
It is a flower pin
Worn by my mother
Given by her mother
And so on
Undated and timeless
A tiny heirloom
One day it shall be mine
And I shall pass it on
A reminder of integrity
Of existence
Of love
Of light
Of my family
My favorite flower
