Favorite Quote:
Anything from Deepak Chopra or Eckhart Tolle

The open cut awoke me
It choked me
Not letting go
Of me unitl I gave in
And listened
To the negativity
The possibilities
That sprung
Up
From what you did
Like I invited them in

I invited them in

Contemplating your
Mistakes
Leads to a

Break

In my thinking
Calm is weakening
With not even an inkling as to
Why

Why do we burn the bridges
Between our hearts and minds?
Leaving behind nothing
but these rhymes

Cold

We see, attack
We win, fall back

Into the normal scheme of things
After we react

Of course we regret it
Even if they meant it

Was it worth the anger
Must we let it affect
Us?

Why do we brun the bridges
Between our hearts and minds?

Leaving behind nothing
But these random rhymes...

I was inspired to write this poem after contemplating overreaction, and conflict in general.
