The golden leaves blowing
Behind the clear blue stream
Where ends come to a meet
Why can't all days be like this
Filled with peace
And reminders of the good times
With the wind in my hair
And the sun setting down
A perfect day from start to finish
I stay and wait
Until the flying birds
Are out of my view
And I leave sullen
Because the day is over
And there may never be another
But even the most perfect days
Like everything else
Must come to an end
