8th Period Day Dream.

Mentir.
Such a long word for a three lettered one.
It means "To lie."
But,
It also changes once you congujate it,
mento,
mentes,
mente,
mentimos,
mentis,
and menten.
Who thought of this?
Hundreds, of hundreds of years ago,
did someone sit down and write these silly rules?
Who thought of putting a question mark
UPSIDE DOWN
before the sentence?
?Que hora es?
Seriously?
When I close my eyes,
I imagine the first people
spreading this language
like disease.
Or maybe a virus.
Sailing from country to country
passing along these restictions,
and long misspelled words
that sound nothing like the thing they mean.
Symptoms including frustration with the silly estentos,
horrid pronounciation,
and eventually the words just blending together.
I open my eyes eighth period
and realize...
Spanish is way too complicated for me.
