the photographer whips out the camera.
woosh.

the animal darts away as she bolts into the wild.
crack.

the branches snap under her boots.
gurgle.

the stream digests the rocks.


flash.

her eyes sting from the camera lights.
vroom.

the car revs a short distance away.
boom.

she collapses from exhaustion.
pop.

the camera captures her motionless on the earth.


click.

the lights go out in the room.
kerplunk.

she is soaked under water.
clasp.

she is hung from the ceiling.
wow.

the gallery goers stare at her in awe.
