Great Chase

Dinner Tonight
Swinging Claws

Of life and death

I know a bit

Roaring with pain

Will prey help?
Black needle in my paws
Helpless am I
Please help me

To relieve pain
I would give the world twice over.

I would spare
A tender mouse
Who moved this thorn?

Please mouse
Help me

I will never hunt you

Paws I will never swing

I swear
My jaws will never gape
This hunt my last

Anything small one
To be free of a thorn

Great Chase
Fragile life
Dinner tonight
Fleeing claws
My tragic end

Of life and death

Thorn patch safety

Wracked with laughter
Will prey help?

Helpless am I

Why help a lion

To relieve pain

Really now?

Would you spare?
A tender mouse

Consider my situation
You are my enemy

Help me
Understand why I would

You will never hunt me

Paws I will never flee

This hunt over

Forgiven and removed
A deal

A new friend found
A dinner cancelled

I think it’s time
We part ways

Forgiven and removed

A deal
A new friend found

A life saved

We part ways
