The Little Leaf

By , South Point, OH
Little leaf,
once so bright and free,
who danced in the breeze,
who sang with the sea.

Little leaf,
who in fall, turned red,
with orange and yellow,
And rain on your head.

Little leaf,
I see you again,
Something is different,
Where, then, have we been?

Little leaf,
You no longer sing,
Don't dance in the breeze,
Not even in Spring.

Little leaf,
I miss your bright green,
You're once lively face,
is a gloomy scene.
