Their whispers float,
Sailing
Ships that dock,
Unloading in her ear

Sticks and stones are,
Feathers
Compared to what,
Their words can do

The girl in front,
Flinches
Red hot vipers,
Twist about her mind

Her back straightens,
Resolute
She will rise again,
From the ashes

She won’t let them win,
Determined
She will shine golden,
Like the pheonix
