Dans Un Jardin De La Terre

Ma façon de penser
Est tout tourné,
Et tous que je connais
Étais faux—tu m’as menti.
Je t’adorais, je t’ai donné tout
Que ton coeur désirait,
Et je pensais que tu étais
Le meilleur, le plus spéciaux,
Unique au monde,
Mais maintenant je vois la vérité ;
Tes mensonges sont tombés
Comme les beaux pétales d’une rose,
Et je peux voir que reste derrière.
Tu n’es rien qu’une de millions,
Je les tous vois devant de moi,
Toutes belles comme toi ;
Et je pleure, parce que j’étais
Fou de te servir tellement,
Quand tu n’es rien qu’une fleur
Qui semblait à tous les autres fleures.

My way of thinking
Has been completely turned,
And all that I thought I knew
Was false—you lied to me.
I loved you, I gave you everything
That your heart desired,
And I thought that you were
The greatest, the most special,
Unique to the world,
But now I see the truth ;
Your lies fall around you
Like the beautiful petals of a rose,
And I can see what lies beneath.
You are nothing but one of millions,
I see them all in front of me,
All beautiful like you,
And I cry, because I was
Such a fool to love you so much,
When you are nothing but one flower
No different from all the other flowers.

i liked this poem! I'm taking french right now and i thought it was very clever and unique the way you wrote this in french first. It's a very eloquent language and perfect for poems! great job :-)
