You said you loved me
And I was your little girl
You said you’d be there
To always fix my world

But you let me fall
All the way to the ground
Now you don’t care at all
That my world isn’t round

I’ve toppled over
Into this great sea
So now it’s over
Between you and me

You were my father
The one man I needed
Now I just have mother
And I’ve become so beaten

I’m bleeding out
Upon the floor
Can’t figure out
If there’s anything more

I’m dying here alone
Without you here
But I’ll make it home
And no longer hold you dear

You’re not a father
You’re just a tragic flaw
That me and mother
Must drag along

Let go of my ankles
Don’t cling to my arm
Undo the shackles
And I’ll do you no harm

Release me from you
And I’ll release you from me
Stop trying to come back
It’s you I don’t need.

This is a poem that kind of speaks for itself. I went through some dark times, this is what came of it.
