The Full WineGlass
The full wineglass: A Poem
If everything I’ve ever known
Came to be extinct
Would I be who I am today?
Or would there be a missing link?
Would my wineglass be all empty?
My face without a smile?
What about my time yet dear?
A racing sun dial.
This life I’ve known forever
Yet when I seem to think
Regret will be nevermore
If this, my present should sink.
But time has passed,
Visions flown
My eyes have shed many tears
And now I wish my life to own for all my long years.
