The midnight moon pales too the
Artistry
Of her visage.
My kiss planted across her
Porcelain cheek. The crinkled brow showing
Puzzlement.
She begins to speak, my finger finding her lips.
Why speak with
Pointless words. Her eyes seeking for the pain I do not reveal.
My body leading hers across the pier
Shielding her from the bitter cold.
Her steps tap against the wood
Timing my heart beats, as my life beats for the next step.
She has an eye for things that shine
But I'm far from gold.
I whisper into her ear
Three words
Defining a moonlight dance.
