God had a great gift

that he passed on to me

And no it wasn't self humility

It wasn't vanity

Or sanity

Or compassion for humanity

It was an injection

Of direction

For full fledged affection

A motion

For devotion

Meaning a revolution

The rebellion

Of "isms"

Communism

Racism

Capitalism

Federalism

And I say that we wont miss ism

He didn't give me normality

Or formality

But a tinge of originality

That I would see

no race is better

no class is higher

and no person is better

He didn't give me tranquility

Or fragility

And sure as hell not conformity

A confliction

Of conviction

With the eviction

Of restriction

So I challenge you

To self preservation

the reservation

Of the human kind

Because the great gift god gave me

Is that I'm color blind

I feel like our world has become obsessed with the social hierarchy and conformity. This piece is to inspire individuality and to not judge people by social class, or by ethnicity but by the complexity of their thoughts.
