1 degree of separation
So close and yet so far
I could follow you into the dark
But still I’ll have this scar
The mark we left on each other
So the world will forever know
That 1 degree of separation
Is too far for love to go
The glass I touch is hard and cold
Not like your soft skin I used to hold
Between my hands and in my heart
But that was of long ago
The pain I feel inside myself today
Is something I can’t change
1 degree of separation
From my own body
Isn’t that strange?
