Tomorrow Never Comes

She sat on her bed
Willing herself to make it until tomorrow
She could feel the cancer taking over
Slowly spreading through her body
Tempting her eyes to close
And never open again
Ever so slowly
The life faded from the little girl on the bed
An empty body left
Eyes closed
Never to open again
