There was never enough time
When I'd hold you tight
Or when at last I'd fall asleep
And dream of you throughout the night
In those moments
When I caught your gaze
And your glittering smile
Sent me into a daze
There was never enough time
When you'd play with my hair
And my heart would swell
Leaving me gasping for air
Or those times when I would fly
Lost in the warmth of your sapphire eyes
When the only thing awaiting us
Was the open, blue sky
