Paint Me as You Please MAG

November 20, 2007
By Anonymous

A blank canvas is my body and face
Draw what you want
Paint me as you please
Don’t hold back your anger
Stab me in reds, oranges, and yellows
Drown me in purples, greens, and blues
Don’t hold back your sorrow
Let your emotions run off my edges
For that’s why I’m here, to take all your pain
Inflict me with your pain
Give me your words of drunken nothing
For I am nothing but an empty canvas
With no emotions of my own
I’ll be glad to take your pain and make it mine

you can take it in a simple, less complex way.

and then you can make a deeper meaning of it.

i can really relate to this. i've been called emotionless and i let people put their pain on me. they give me their problems so they don't have to deal with them. so i can really relate to this.

ALthough I would not describe myself as an emotionless and passionless blob, this is something that I do on a regular basis. I think that this position in someone's life is vital. Sometimes people need those who are willing to share the burden.

It left me speechless after I read this poem. It reminds me of a friend that I have.
