When I saw the morning light break,
I thought of you.
I saw the first snowflake,
and I thought of you.
When I saw a field of wild bracken,
I thought of you.
I saw the wind sweep through a glen,
and I thought of you.
I waded in a sea of flowers,
and I thought of you.
When I sat in a tree for a couple of hours,
I thought of you.
I skipped a pebble on a lake,
and I thought of you.
When I heard a glorious symphony,
I thought of you.
someone read a poem to me,
and I thought of you.
When I saw the moonlight glow,
I thought of you.
someone touched a string with a bow,
and I thought of you.
Sitting im my room, in the silence,
I thought of you.
I wrote a poem about your essence,
and I thought of you.
