There is no sherbet hue
Of sunset
Or innocent blue
Of noon
The dark has invaded
Strolling its hand
Down the universes
Spine.
Everybody exists

But nobody is living
Their hearts beat
But

Their breath is still
But

Their thoughts are blank
Everybody is existing
In
This eternal night.

The author's comments:
People continually tell me what a dangerous place the world is. I feel like those who tell me what a terrible place it is, have there eyes closed. I only see the blue skies and green grass. This poem is from the point of view of those who are afraid to see the beauty of the world.
