I’m still waking up
You fill the room with brightness
I’m no longer blind to my broken world
I’m still waking up
You whisper promise and trust until
I start to believe it's true
I’m still waking up
You hold my eyes open so
The world won’t face away
I’m still waking up
Never again will night claim me
All because of you
I’m still waking up
Because you’re letting me
I want to be awake in this new word

I wrote this for my best friend. He got me through one of the hardest things I've had to go through, and I wouldn't be the person I am today without him. Thank you so much, love you a million.
