A bird will swoop us up
And sweep through the whole town
Sapphire skies and emerald trees pass us by
Just to say hello
When sunset comes

All becomes ruby red
When sunrise comes

A rooster sings somewhere near
The clouds are invisible
Going through us
The houses are cardboard boxes
Welcoming everyone in
When the bird is finally tired
We say our good-byes
But tomorrow is a new day
With more to give
