"ive been holding my ground so long that i cant lift my arms". -Andrew Betts-Randolph

It’s October
Still not over
It was November
Do you remember?
Or maybe it was December
That night I went on that bender?
I visited in January
It was far from merry
I missed the 14th of febuary
I swore id come in march
We still stayed apart
In April I lied
I said I would be there; the truth is I never tried
In may…
God what did I say?
In June
I sold the same old tune
In July
I know you cried
In august
I followed lust
September you called
And cried to me
I lied to you
You tried for me
I hid from you
I chose the low road
And it showed
You still loved hid you hate for me
Under your love for me
I pushed and shoved
I cried for what we had
The good and bad
In October I came
In October, you were gone
You quit being strong
I accepted I was wrong
In October

Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, now that's true strength.

I think this is really good poem...its very real and simple.  It doesn't use big words that distract from the idea. Great job =)
