When Fall Comes
Looking out an open window
into the colorful meadow of life.
Wondering when the light
will stop shinning upon us all day.
Trees bare to the bone
without their clothes.
Kids falling down upon,
colors of a new found land.
Smell of freshly baked apple pie
runs quickly by our noses.
Soft touches upon our faces
while its passing by.
Looking out the open window
wondering when it will be here.
Always looking out but,
never looking in an open glass window.
