Why Not?
God is a concept
it's really not for me
Faith is a impression
Belief is abstract
Why Not be content with choice?
Religion is a question
And I need not know the answer
be it agonist, atheist,
or just straight arrogant
Why not, choose to be oblivious?

i totaly agree with you. i am an agonist too--i just can't deal with all that religouse drama. what i especialy like about atheism/agonism is that, historicaly as well as presently, the majority of us don't shove our belives down everyone elses throats. i could go on, but then i might as well write a paper about it. great poem--check out some of mine!

Being religious doesn't make you a better person. There are good religious people and bad religious people. Just like there are good and bad non-religious people. Religion isn't about being good or bad. It is about belonging to a community of people who believe that you will have eternal life in some form if you accept a savior and have faith that that will happen.

I really know what you mean. It infuriates me when people define who you are and what you should do by your religion. And it's even worse when they try to shove their religion down your throat. I'm not going to "find God" just because someone prays for me to. It just doesn't work that way.
