Childish games
Twist and turn
To get away
Indirect
Direct
The stress of the world lands
On her petty shoulders
She giggles and twirls
And I watch
Almost through he memory I reach
I scream
She is so guilelessness
She has no clue
That soon
When the childish games
Are over
And she finally realizes there really over
She will cry
And she will scream
And try to fight it
The current of her life is too strong
And she gets pulled along
She flies through her life
Meeting and greeting
Regretting the past
Always looking back
She see the mile stones
Then one stone
In the future
She will cry
She will yell
That itty bitty little girl
Will not be carefree for much longer
I look back on her
And realize
She always knew
But her life is too strong
And she gets pulled along
Trying to fight the current
The childish games are over.
